Theresa M. Slade

Theresa M. Slade focuses her practice exclusively on representing clients throughout the Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert, and Jefferson Counties of Colorado in criminal defense and juvenile delinquency matters.  Ms. Slade began her career in the 18th Judicial District's Office of the District Attorney as both a Deputy District Attorney and a Senior Deputy District Attorney.  This background gives her an in-depth understanding of the ways in which prosecutors evaluate evidence and the tactics they use to elicit convictions and unfair plea agreements.

Outside her practice, Ms. Slade is committed to giving back to the Colorado community where she was born and raised.  She is a Board Member of Metro Volunteer Lawyers, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free and low-cost legal services to people with little or no income.  Since 2007, she has served as an Associate Judge at the Lone Tree Municipal Court handling municipal criminal proceedings, and since 2008, she has served as a judge at the Castle Rock Teen Court, presiding over teen court and juvenile proceedings.
